Renee started serving on fundraising committees nearly 20 years ago. All too familiar with the arduous process of securing auction donations, as well as the challenges on the giving side as a multiple-location business owner and mentor, she decided to launch DonationMatch, a self-service platform that streamlines how donor companies and nonprofit organizations connect. The first of its kind, DonationMatch has facilitated in-kind contributions worth more than $40 million to date. Each year, over 10,000 fundraising events rely on DonationMatch for easy, efficient donation procurement.
A native Californian, Renee resides in San Diego and is actively involved with several local organizations including San Diego Social Venture Partners, Startup San Diego, and the Parent Connection. In addition to running DonationMatch, Renee co-hosts the podcast Events with Benefits, serves as Outreach Director for San Diego AMA’s Cause Conference, and is the resident cause marketing guru at Hera Hub Sorrento Valley.
