Best of Client Stories
Inspiring stories from our beloved clients.
At Greater Giving we go to work (remotely for now) every day, inspired by the amazing organizations we are so lucky to work with. This past year we saw nonprofits and schools making live, virtual and hybrid events fun and safe with an option for everyone’s comfort level.
Many of these nonprofits’ fundraising stories stood out with their creativity, passion and adaptability. Here are a few:
The Youth Music Project had a virtual event that netted more money than previous years. Using Greater Giving Online Bidding to add last-minute auction items that kept the excitement going and showcasing The Giving Board to recognize donors and encourage higher giving. They also made their virtual event free to attend and stepped up their marketing, gaining the organization new donors.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star found their original plans derailed like so many other nonprofits. But they knew the show must go on to keep the programs running that serve the children of the Greater Houston area—so they took the popular BIG Taste of Houston and transformed it into a virtual event, BIG Taste at Home.
Celebrity Waiters Luncheon Organization decided to expand their virtual event to include a small, in-person gathering with limited attendance. The live event was safely spaced and socially-distanced, and attendees had such a good time they stayed long after the program was over. They proved that a hybrid event was not only possible, but a sustainable solution for the future.
