Communities across the globe prove once again that #GivingTuesday is a fantastic way to kick off a holiday season filled with giving.
The Tuesday after Thanksgiving for the sixth year in a row has been a day for our company, and many like ours, to give back. Company employees volunteered at nonprofit organizations around the Portland, Oregon metro area including Boys and Girls Club of Hillsboro, Bloodworks Northwest, Oregon Food Bank, Project Lemonade, and the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon.
In what has become a #GivingTuesday tradition, we hosted our Online Payments donation page contest for clients using our products to host their donation pages. Greater Giving is committed to helping your organization quickly and easily launch your #GivingTuesday campaign with our Online Payments template, which was used by many of our contest entry organizations. We were thrilled to share that Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region in New York won our $500 prize for their unique unGala donation page. We also donated $100 prizes to five runners-up Maury Elementary School, Youth Employment Services, REACH-A-Child, Portland Lesbian Choir, and Aspire Chicago.
